Standardi i propisi

-  WHO (www.who.int/peh/air/airindex.htm) - Svetska zdravstvena organizacija

Law regulation and technical acts for this kind of work

The area of ventilation duct cleaning was unclear by 1989 when NADCA was formed. NADCA is the American national association for canal cleaning (National Air Duct Cleaning Association – NADCA, www.nadca.com ). This association presents the basis for all standards, acts and regulations for ventilation and air-conditioning cleaning systems.
Because there are no standards and regulations in our country on the air-conditioning and ventilation installations, the regulations of NADCA are mandatory.

The acts of NADCA are supported  by the following scientific, technical and health organisations:
-   ASHRAE (
www.ashrae.org )–American Association of the engineers who deal with heating, cooling and air-conditioning systems.
-   EPA (
www.epa.gov/iaq ) – American agency for the environment protection
-   WHO (
www.who.int/peh/air/airindex.htm ) – World Health Organisation
-   NIOSH(
www.cdc.gov/niosh/iaqpg.html ) – National Institute for professional safety and health
-   ASCR (
www.ascr.org ) – Association of the specialists for cleaning and reparation
-   AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION (
www.lungusa.org/air/air_indoor_index.html ) – American Association for lung illnesses

In  Europe, there is a law that says that medical institutions, food industry and the industry where they are deposited in the ventilation ducts of flammable materials should be treated at least once a year. That is why all these objects must be treated ( building of first class-dust concentration is max 1 g/m2 with tolerance till 2g/m2 ). All other institutions that have air passages by way of air ducts ( hotels, restuarants, state institutions, banks...)  should be treated at least once in five years depending on the evaluation of the state.

HACCP standard requires food producers to  clean and sanitize all the surfaces that are directly ( equipment, installation, and work spaces for food preparation) or indirectly ( the elements of production space: floors, walls, ceilings, lights, air-conditioning and ventilation systems and equipemt) related to food ( http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/FS077 ).

In our country the recommendations from REGULATIONS ON TECHNICAL NORMATIVES FOR VENTILATION AND AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEMS are mandatory– Službeni list, broj 38/89 ) – annexed.
